The park store is a great place to got to the bathroom, grab snacks, souvenirs, etc. and the prices aren't inflated because you're in the middle of the sticks.
Fantastic place for people of all ages. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. The trails are just like the pictures floating around on the internet. (I would have taken more, but it was raining the entire time we were there.)
Cool place, amazing views, great hiking trails, big waterfall and a phenomenal lodge & restaurant. It was Saturday night and we arrived about 15 minutes before the restaurant closed. The staff had already started to clean the buffet. But the server said it would be fine to sit and order. Then this gentleman named Joe stopped by and proved us with impeccable service in conjunction with our server. We were floored by how well we were treated especially since I know we were inconveniencing the staff. We felt like royalty. Thank you Joe and the restaurant crew for make our special night magical! And thank you for going out of your way to serve us so well.
Awesome place for trek lovers. Beautiful scenery during fall. Would advice to visit during odd time so that you get parking easily. If you don't want to enjoy trekking you can directly see waterfall from top of mountain by parking there.
I will be back and definitely stay in the lodge again. My 2 teenagers & I had a wonderful time! Thank you, Georgia.
Very nice park. Very nice club house. Upscale and very beautiful area in the blue ridge mountains. Highly recommended, parking is like 5bucks, or for entry into park I think. Still well worth it. Nice rooms but quite pricy for my taste.
Wowza! I love this park. You can park at the bottom and hike your way up but definitely drive up to the Lodge on top and enjoy the views up there as well. You can get right on top of the falls for a whole other perspective. Also, about 3/4's of the way up there is a small parking lot that has an easy walking path to the middle of the falls and it's wheelchair friendly!!!
